This is a school workshop.
Guided by local exhibiting artist Lesley-Ann O’Connell, students will experiment with abstraction and reconstruction to create multi-layered, colourful and dynamic imagery. Exploring the artist’s processes, such as mark making, collage and material dissection, while surrounded by artworks in the gallery, this experimental workshop will apply the elements of art and principles of design. Challenging students to unravel possibilities of process and media, composition and layout, they will experience and engage through critical thinking and decision making that is intuitive and fluid while creating a work of art.
