SURVEYOR 2024

Inviting artists living in or from County Meath to submit works of all disciplines, Solstice Arts Centre is delighted to announce the thirteenth SURVEYOR open exhibition. Supporting, valuing and encouraging Meath artists in the development of their practices and creative careers, the exhibition presents an overview of contemporary visual arts practice throughout the county.

This year we are delighted to announce the work will be selected by Curator of Exhibitions at Crawford Art Gallery, Dawn Williams. The winner of the Solstice Visual Arts Award will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on Sat 16 Nov, with the artist receiving €2,000 for a work of distinction in any medium.

CALL OUT FOR SUBMISSIONS

Online submission deadline: Fri 18 October, 5pm
Drop off date to Solstice for adjudication of artwork: Sat 2 Nov, between 11am – 4pm
Collection of unselected artworks: Sat 9 Nov, between 11am – 4pm

Dawn Williams

Dawn Williams is a curator at Crawford Art Gallery, Cork. With over twenty years’ experience of working with national and international contemporary artists, recent curated projects include A Matter of Time (2024); Bodywork – Recent Acquisitions from IMMA and Crawford Art Gallery National Collections (2023); Corban Walker: As far as I can see (2023), and Saturation: The Everyday Transformed (2022) co-curated with William Laffan. She is a visiting lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts: University of the Arts, London and MTU Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork.
